Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Jamesenez on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actor and producer. In Mexico, she began her career by playing the character in the role of Teresa in the television show (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she received an Ariel Award. Through appearances in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999) In 1999, she quickly made her mark as a star in Hollywood. Hayek's portrayal as Frida, the painter, in Frida (2002) in which she also co-produced was what made Hayek the first Mexican actor to win the Academy Award [6]. The film also brought her a Golden Globe Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award nomination as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek played the lead in the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico movies in the years after and focused on producing.
