Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding on 30th December, 1986 Hereford, England) is a English artist and singer. Having caught the public's attention in 2010 through her hits "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses" British vocalist Ellie Goulding quickly rose to the top of the charts with her enthralling electronic pop style. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has a unique soprano scream, and an aptitude for writing emotional songs with positive lyrics. Much like her predecessors Kate Bush or Imogen, she's at the forefront of contemporary mainstream pop as well as the artful independent music.
