Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28 the 28th of October, 1967. She is the fourth Roberts generation to reside in Atlanta starting with her great-grandfather who was a farmer John Pendleton Roberts. Her father was an early interest in the theater. While he was a students in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he was a part of numerous performances. He joined the air force in 1953. While stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, was cast in the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was also in the air force. They got married in 2005, and had their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter was a student at Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana after leaving the Airforce in 1957. Walter began his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou started production in 1964 on the local children's Saturday morning television program Bum Bum and His Buddies, which they funded themselves. In the following year, they established The Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for six years. They had two more children. Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also named Lisa), and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also also known by the same name Julie).
