LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American professional basketball player that is a player with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. King James, he's widely regarded to be the greatest athlete of all time and has often compared Michael Jordan during debates about the greatest basketball player of all time. James was awarded two Olympic golds, as well as four NBA titles. James is the NBA All-Star who has the most playoff points, the second highest career point total, and seventh-highest career assist total. James has been named an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times. He was also selected to his place on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. James was the third player to compete in NBA Finals. Eight of the games were in consecutive order from 2011 to 2018. James was chosen as a part of the NHL75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became only the third NBA player in history to earn 10,000 or higher career points. James was a student at St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he grew up. Media across the country portrayed James as a possible NBA star. To prepare for the pro game, it was the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the number one overall pick in the NBA draft of 2003. He was voted the NBA player of the year for 2004. He soon became one of the best players of the NBA, winning the NBA MVP Award twice in the years 2009 and 2010. After failing to win the championship Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent to join the Miami Heat this was announced on television in the program The Decision and is among the most controversial free agent decisions in sports history.
