Dua Lipa is an English performer and songwriter from England who was born on the 22nd of 1995 in London United Kingdom. After being a model for a fashion magazine, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her first album. The album peaked at number three on the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be The One I.D.G.A.F as well as her U.K. number-one single New Rules which peaked at number sixth in the United States. Lipa won the Brit Awards as a British female solo artists and British breakthrough act in 2018. The album has been certified platinum in the world. She was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. She is the maternal grandmother of Bosnian. Her ancestors can also be identified back to the Kosovo city of Peja. Her grandparents were historians as well. She has a brother Gjin Lipa as well as a sister Rina. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father who was the guitarist and singer in Oda, the Kosovan rock group Oda. In her home, Lipa's father was still playing music.
